Call for submission of scientific papers – In Mission 2026
In Mission 2026 will feature an academic session of poster presentations with published proceedings (ISSN), dedicated to sharing research, reflections, and experiences in the field of pastoral theology, mission, and evangelization, in dialogue with the contemporary challenges of the church and urban mission. The aim is to create a qualified space for academic and ministerial exchange, bridging research, practice, and context, and valuing productions that contribute to strengthening the Christian mission. Papers related to, among others, the following areas will be accepted:
- Pastoral Theology
- Mission and Evangelization
- Missiology
- Urban Mission
- Intercultural Studies of Religion
- Education and Mission
- Pastoral and Ecclesiastical Leadership
- Communication and Evangelization
- Church and Culture
- Religion, City, and Society
Academic participation in In Mission 2026 will take place through the presentation of posters, which will be displayed during the event in a specific area designated for this purpose.
- The banners will be printed and organized by the event staff, ensuring visual standardization.
- It is strongly recommended that at least one of the authors be present for the banner presentation during the event.
- There will be times dedicated to circulation, reading, and dialogue around the exhibited works.
Submission Process
- Abstract submission
- Submissions will be accepted exclusively through the Even3 platform.
- The abstract will be evaluated by the event’s organizing/scientific committee through a blind peer review process.
- Assessment
- Approval will be based on the submitted abstract, which must strictly follow the official template.
- The evaluation criteria include thematic relevance, clarity, coherence, and contribution to the field of theology.
- Final banner submission
- If changes or improvements are requested, approved authors must submit the final banner content, following the event’s official template, within the stipulated deadline.
- Publication of the proceedings
- All papers presented at the congress will have their extended abstracts published in full in the event’s proceedings.
Important considerations
- In Mission will be responsible for printing and displaying each banner.
- Authors should not bring a printed banner, but they must be present on the day of the presentation.
- There will be no submission fee, but all those interested in submitting work must, without a doubt, be registered and up-to-date with their In Mission 2026 payments.
- Each author is responsible for the originality of the submitted work.
- Submitted works must align with the proposed thematic areas.
- Submission implies agreement with the rules and deadlines established by the In Mission organization.
- Two separate certificates will be issued:
- Certificate of submission/approval of work
- Certificate of poster presentation for authors who are present at the event.
- Certificates will be made available later, according to the organization’s instructions.
- Ongoing works, completed works, and projects and ideas for future implementation can be submitted and presented.
- Each participant may submit only 01 (one) communication proposal.
- The work submitted by master’s or doctoral students must include the name of the supervisor as a co-author.
- The analysis of the proposals and the dissemination of the approved communications will be done individually.
